Safe Environment
Committed to a Safe Environment
The Diocese of Charlotte has launched a new training program for clergy, employees and volunteers to enhance efforts to protect children and young people in all of our churches, schools and ministries. This new program, called CMG (Catholic Mutual Group) Connect, replaces the VIRTUS Online training program.

All volunteers, parents, employees, and clergy of the Diocese of Charlotte must complete the Safe Environment Training & Background Check. Certifications and additional trainings are required annually.
Registration is a requirement of the Diocese.

Reporting Procedures
Everyone has a role to play in providing a safe environment for children and young people. North Carolina law requires all adults to immediately report suspected child abuse by anyone to law enforcement agencies. If you know or suspect that a minor (person under 18) has been abused, please call 9-1-1 or contact local law enforcement.
Also, if you have information about possible sexual abuse or misconduct by any clergy, employee or volunteer of the Diocese of Charlotte, report concerns securely and anonymously 24/7 over the phone or online:
1-888-630-5929 or www.RedFlagReporting.com/RCDOC.
